Are you Gas Safe registered?
Yes — registration number 972408. You can check any engineer's number on the Gas Safe Register before you let them touch a gas appliance, and you should.
What does a new boiler cost?
It depends on the boiler, the property, the existing pipework, the flue and the controls — which is why we look at the job before quoting rather than advertising a headline number that changes once someone turns up. Send the form over and you will get a real figure for your property.
Which boiler makes do you work on?
All the main makes — Worcester, Vaillant, Baxi, Ideal and Glow-worm among them — for both installations and repairs.
What are your hours?
Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 1pm. Emergency and out-of-hours call-outs can be arranged — ring and we will tell you what we can do.
Do you work with landlords and letting agents?
Yes, and a good share of the work is exactly that: boiler replacements, repairs, servicing and landlord gas safety records across rental and managed properties. If you look after a portfolio, say so on the form.
Is a repair ever the better option?
Often. A boiler that is ten years old with one failed part is usually worth fixing; one that has had three faults in two winters usually is not. We will tell you which of those you have got.
